92 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Stolpman's Roussanne L'Avion is laced with apricot jam, chamomile, orange peel, hazelnut and honeysuckle. Oily yet also light on its feet, the Avion is all class. As always, the Stolpman Roussanne includes a good bit of Chardonnay, 10% in this vintage."
Stolpman Vineyard’s 12 acres of Roussanne, the primary varietal of this wine, represents a significant portion of the 165 total planted acres in all of California. The proprietary name L’Avion (The Airplane in French) refers to the long narrow stretch of land where the Roussanne is grown, once used as an air strip by local ranchers. The 2011 Stolpman L’Avion is a blend of 90% Roussanne and 10% Viognier. The wine shows a rich soft mouth feel with flavors of tropical fruit and a bouquet of honeysuckleckle.

Please note, expedited shipping such as "2 day air" is for transit time only, this does not include processing time and therefore does not guarantee a specific delivery date. Our ability to respond to expedited requests depends on the particular wines’ availability. We work with many small-production wines which, if not in stock may need to be acquired direct from the winery and may not be available for shipping for several days after your order is placed.

Local Pick-Up
Free local pick-up is available at our SOMA warehouse. This is not a retail location and is only available for local pick-up orders. Once your order has processed, and is ready for pickup, you will receive a follow-up email containing our address with directions for pick up.
