However, we trust that with this mission deliciously accomplished, you'll forgive us a sentimental indulgence...Sean Thackrey was a lover of Viognier, and we continue to make this wine in shared reverence for both the man and the wine he enjoyed frequently. He could never understand why more people didn't share this love. Consider this, then, both a tribute and a protest in support of aromatic and textured white wines.
The nose is simply floral, with a beautiful, intense, and concentrated bouquet. And on the palate? Marmalade and citrus notes abound, with textural clarity that adds
depth - balanced, with a long and satisfying finish that lingers on the tongue, with complexity and profoundness that's truly remarkable
Sean Thackrey is one of the most influential and interesting people in the Bay Area Food and Wine community. Since 1980, he has been producing wines that are extraordinary: not only for quality and complexity, but also because he utilizes unique wine-making techniques, often drawing from historic, sometimes ancient, winemaking practices from all over the world. Sean sources grapes from many locations throughout California, and makes all his wines by hand (touching every grape) at his small Bolinas winery. Self-taught, and fully reliant on his intuition and senses, Sean is the antithesis of corporate wine-making. Indicative blend: Syrah, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Barbera, Carignane, Petite Sirah, Viognier, among others. Each release is labeled with Roman numerals

If you would like Overnight shipping, please email or call us immediately for options. Please note, expedited shipping such as "2 day air" is for transit time only, this does not include processing time and therefore does not guarantee a specific delivery date.
