Limited new release from one of our favorite boutique Pinot Noir producers.
The Peay 2022 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a fantastic new Pinot from a great vintage. The 2022 vintage made spectacular wines across the board due to a harmonious growing season, optimal vine age, and our vineyard’s overall robust health. But it made really spectacular Pinot noir. The nose of the inaugural West Sonoma Coast Pinot noir is seductive with floral, hippie aromas, and red fruits swirling above our signature, earthy, base note. There is refinement and balance with loads of flavor and depth but the wine is not over-burdened and sluggish due to excessive ripeness or alcohol. This is the expression of Pinot noir we hope to capture every year. It is what makes the West Sonoma Coast, and Peay Vineyards, such an interesting and unique grape-growing terroir. This wine does not taste like it could come from any other winegrowing region in the world. It is self-confidently Peay Pinot noir from the West Sonoma Coast and I am thrilled to show you what we can achieve out here.
Peay Vineyards farms on a ridge top above a river gorge in the northwestern corner of the “true” Sonoma Coast 4 miles from the chilly Pacific Ocean. A consistent afternoon ocean wind, placement in the cool inversion layer and ancient marine soils allow them to produce wines of elegance, intensity and focus.
Peay Vineyards is a family-run business started from scratch in 1996. They planted the first 30 acres of the 54 acre vineyard in 1998 with the remaining planted in 2001 and 2008. They grow and produce estate-only Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Viognier and Roussanne/Marsanne. 2002 was the first vintage. Peay Vineyards is a first generation family winery started in 1996. Husband and wife, Nick Peay & Vanessa Wong, grow and make the wine and brother, Andy Peay, sells the wine and runs the business. Vanessa Wong was formerly winemaker at Peter Michael Winery. They sell fruit to a handful of premier wineries, but a majority of their fruit goes into their own bottlings.

Normal shipping via Fedex or UPS Ground will range from 3 business days (West Coast) to 7 business days (East Coast). If you would like Overnight shipping, please email or call us immediately for options. Please note, expedited shipping such as "2 day air" is for transit time only, this does not include processing time and therefore does not guarantee a specific delivery date. Our ability to respond to expedited requests depends on the particular wines’ availability. We work with many small-production wines which, if not in stock may need to be acquired direct from the winery and may not be available for shipping for several days after your order is placed.
