95 Points Roberrt Parker: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Speciale has a black forest cake and crème de cassis-scented nose with touches of charcoal, black soil, mocha and salami plus a hint of cigar box. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with black fruit and savory layers with beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with great persistence."

94 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon Réserve Spéciale is another compelling wine from Arrowood. A whole range of dark spice, leather, smoke and licorice notes meld around a core of deep, dense fruit. The tannins are imposing today, and yet there is more than enough breadth and resonance in the fruit to provide balance. Readers will have to be patient though."
